Cornville, Ariz. – Cal State Fullerton women's golf earned its season-best finish Saturday afternoon at the Red Rocks Invitational as the Titans placed 2nd at the Agave Highlands Golf Course.

Fullerton finished with a score of 6-over par 858, which is also a season-best, to finish just five strokes behind New Mexico State who took first place.

Freshman Lisa Djerf led the way individually for the Titans, placing tied for eighth with a score of even at par 213. Djerf hit a 68 in round one followed by 72 and 73 in rounds two and three.

Fellow Sweden native, Elsa Lundquist, finished just behind Djerf as she placed tied for 11th at 1-over par 213. Lundquist shot a 73 in round one and improved in rounds two and three with a 70 and 71.

Felicia Medalla finished tied for 11th place alongside Lundquist with a 1-over par 213. Medalla finished the tournament on a high note, scoring a 3-under par 68 to improve her placing.

With a score of 4-over par 217, Pauline Welker finished the Red Rocks Invitational tied for 21st place. Texie Petchel placed tied for 47th with a score of 10-over par 223.

After its best tournament of the season the Titans have a couple of weeks off before returning to action at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic April 8 - April 9 in Arizona.
