IRVINE, Calif. – After round two at the 2018 Big West Championship Monday at the Strawberry Farms Golf Club, Cal State Fullerton sits in sixth place with a score of 46-over par 614.
The Titans were in third place after round one but fell back three spots after shooting a 315 in the second round. Long Beach State remains in first place at 21-over par 589 with UC Davis in second place at 28-over par.
Freshman Courtney Sharkey now leads Fullerton individually with a score of 11-over par 153 to leave her tied for 18th place. Sharkey shot a 78 in round two after shooting a 75 in round one of the tournament.
Britney Sok and Elsa Lundquist, who were both tied for 9th place after round one, fell back to a tie for 21st place at 12-over par 154. Both shot a 2-over par 73 in round one but followed it up with a 81 in the second round.
Pauline Welker is tied for 31st for place heading into the final round of the conference championship at 16-over par 158. Welker shot a 78 in round one and a 80 in round two. Lou Daniella Uy is in 35th place at 19-over par 161 after shooting a 85 in round one and then improved with a 76 on day two.
The Titans look to bounce back and move up the leaderboard in the final round of the tournament Tuesday morning with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. PT. You can follow the action of round three on Golfstat.com.
