PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico --- Senior Martina Edberg will enter the second round of play at the Hawkeye El-Tigre Invitational just one shot off the lead, while Cal State Fullerton is currently tied for ninth on the leaderboard after one round at El-Tigre Golf Club on Sunday.
Edberg led Fullerton shooting an even-par round of 72 on Sunday, while Ole Miss' Pi-Lillebi Hermansson is currently in the lead after shooting the best round of the day at 1-under-par 71.
Edberg was one of two Titans in the top 20, as junior Daniella Uy is tied for 11th on the leaderboard after firing a first-round score of 2-over-par 74.
Washington heads into day two in the lead, shooting 7-over-par 295, followed by University of Texas San Antonio (+9, 297), Ole Miss (+10, 298), Wisconsin (+11, 299), Kansas (+13, 301), Idaho (+14, 302), Coastal Carolina (+15, 303), Kennesaw State (+15, 303), Indiana (+19, 307), Cal State Fullerton (+19, 307), Rutgers (+20, 308), New Mexico State (+21, 309), Iowa (+29, 317) and Nebraska (+30, 318).
Sophomore Pauline Welker shot 7-over-par 79 in the first round and is currently tied for 51st on the leaderboard, while freshman Elsa Lundquist is tied for 62nd after firing a first-round score of 10-over-par 82.
Sophomore Brittney Sok (+19, 91) is 79th in the standings while sophomore Felicia Medalla, competing as an individual, shot 15-over-par 87 in the first round and is tied for 77th.
The second round of play is set to begin at 2 p.m. CT (noon PT).
