STANFORD, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton junior Martina Edberg moved up on the individual leaderboard after a steady second round Friday at the NCAA Stanford Regional hosted by Stanford at the Stanford Golf Course.

Edberg posted a 2-over 73 in the second round and now sits in a tie for 44th place, 20 spots better than when she started the day. The Glumslov, Sweden native sank 16 pars in her second round of action. She carded bogeys on No. 12 and No. 4 for her only blemishes of the day. Edberg sits at 8-over after 36 holes, 11 strokes back of co-leaders Mariah Stackhouse of Stanford and Alana Uriell of Arkansas, who both sit at 3-under going into the final round Saturday.

Andrea Wong of UC Davis and Jakeishya Lee of UC Riverside sit in a tie for 11th with a 2-over 144 after 36 holes to lead the way for all Big West Conference golfers at the Stanford Golf Course.

Edberg will tee off her final round at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday from hole No. 10 along with fellow Big West golfers Kassidy Teare (Long Beach State) and Paige Lee (UC Davis).

Stanford leads the 16-team field after two rounds with a 1-over 569, supplanting day-one leader USC. The Cardinal shot a collective 4-under on Friday and lead the No. 2 Trojans by two strokes. Ohio State, Virginia, Arkansas and North Carolina round out the top six heading into Saturday's third and final round.

The top six teams and top three individual performers will advance to the NCAA Championships, which will be hosted by the University of Oregon and held on May 20-25 at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.
