Fresno State Classic Final Results

FRESNO, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton posted its best overall finish of the season Tuesday, placing third overall at the Fresno State Classic hosted by Fresno State at the San Joaquin Country Club in Fresno, Calif.

The Titans posted an even-par 288 on Tuesday in the second and final round of the tournament to finish the 36 holes with a 12-over 588, eight strokes behind first-place Fresno State. Boise State carded a 9-over 585 to finish in second place. The tournament was cut down to a 36-hole event due to rain early Monday.

Martina Edberg posted her third top-five finish and fourth top-10 as she placed fourth overall on the individual side, finishing the 36 holes with a 1-under 143 after posting a 3-under 69 on Tuesday. It was the fifth time the Fullerton junior posted a score in the 60s this season.

Nadine Rivera collected her first career top-10 finish after posting a 3-over 147. Rivera carded a 1-under 71 on Tuesday, her second best single round score in her Titans career en route to finishing the Fresno State Classic tied for 10th place.

Felicia Medalla was right behind Rivera, posting a 4-over 148 in the 36 holes after carding a 1-over 73 on Tuesday. She finished in 12th place overall for the second straight tournament.

Brittany Sok rounded out the Titans team scoring as she posted a 3-over 75 on Tuesday, matching her first-round score. Sok finished in a tie for 25th place after posting a 6-over 150 this week.

Brittany Farrell didn't factor into the overall team score but the sophomore did finish tied for 36th after posting a 36-hole score of 152, 8-over for the tournament. Farrell  carded a 3-over 75 on Tuesday, improving on her 5-over 77 from the opening round.

The Titans will now have a couple of weeks off before heading back out on the links, traveling to the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga. from March 27-29.
