FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball lost to UC Irvine Wednesday night at Titan Gym by a final score of 57-39. Fullerton drops to 6-8 and 1-4 in Big West play.
Titans trailed 10-6 at the end of the first quarter. Ashlee Lewis led all scorers with four points through the first 10 minutes.
Aixchel Hernandez had a season-high nine points in the first half on 3-of-4 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line in just nine minutes of action. Fullerton trailed 27-17 at the break.

Lewis went on to lead the team with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.

A key factor in the Titans loss was allowing UC Irvine to grab 19 offensive rebounds which lead to 19 second chance points.
The Titans are back in action as UC Davis comes to Titan Gym for a Big West matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. PT.
