WASHINGTON, D.C. – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball dropped its road contest at Georgetown Friday night by a final score of 63-42. The Titans drop to 1-2 on the year with the loss.

Fullerton got off to a slow start offensively, trailing the Hoyas 16-7 at the end of the first quarter. Una Jovanovic started the game strong for the Titans, scoring all seven points in the first quarter on 3-of-6 shooting from the field. Jonavic finished the first half with a team-high 10 points.

The Titans got things going in the second quarter as Fujika Nimmo started to make things happen on the offensive end. Nimmo scored eight points in the second on 2-of-4 shooting and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line. Nimmo would finish the game with 13 points.

Fullerton trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half but cut Georgetown's lead to just six points, 31-25, at halftime thanks to Gabi Vidmar's three-pointer late in the second quarter. Vidmar went on to score six points with a team-high six rebounds and four assists.

To start the second half the Titans were held scoreless for about the first five minutes of action before Jovanovic made a great pass to find Nimmo under the basket for an easy layup. Fullerton struggled in the third quarter as it was outscored 15-7.

Jovanovic was a bright spot for the Titans in the loss as she scored a career-high 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field and 2-of-4 from behind the arc. The sophomore added two rebounds and two assists.

The Titans are back in action Sunday morning as they face George Washington in their final game of the road trip. Tip-off is set for 9:00 a.m. PT.
