SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. –  The Titans (13-10, 5-5 BWC) got back in the W column with a 67-60 win on Saturday afternoon at Cal Poly.

Raina Perez showed why she is a three-time Big West player of the week, as she was the dominant player on the court.  Perez led the Titans in points (24), rebounds (9) and assists (7).  Perez made them count, scoring 10 of her points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory for Fullerton.

Amiee Book and Taylor Turney also finished the afternoon scoring in double-digits with 14 and 13 points respectively.  Carolyn Gill hauled down eight boards to go with her eight points.  Starting center Madison Freemon scored six points, while reserve Megan Nieto scored the only two bench points on the day.

Head coach Jeff Harada had this to say about the game:  "Big win for our team today.  Coming off of a tough loss on Thursday (at UCI), and on the second of back-to-back road games, it was important for us to get a split this week.  I'm really proud of our players for locking in and taking care of business."

The Titans were 24-53 (45.3%) from the floor, including 4-17 (23.5% from three-point range.  The Mustangs shot only 24-63 (38.1%), but stayed in the game by making six 3-point baskets.  Cal Poly outrebound Fullerton 42-29.

Cal Poly had 18 turnovers compared to only 12 for the Titans.  The speedy Fullerton squad made the Mustangs pay for their mistakes, scoring 11 points off of turnovers.

Cal State Fullerton will travel to UC Davis on Thursday, February 20 for an unusual 11:00 a.m. tip-off. Apparently, it's Kid's Day at UC Davis.  The Titans will return on Saturday, February 22 for a 6:00 p.m. home game with Cal State Northridge.
