HONOLULU, HI. – A barrage of Rainbow Wahine 3-pointers ruined Titan head coach Jeff Harada's return to the islands on Saturday night, as Cal State Fullerton (10-7, 2-2 BWC) fell to Hawai'i (8-9, 2-2 BWC) 72-79 at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The story of the night was that Hawai'i set a new program record by knocking down 18 3-pointers on 46.2% shooting from behind the arc.  Their previous record was 16.  Fullerton was 3-5 from the 3-point line in the first quarter, but could only connect on two more of their next 18 tries (21.7%).  Overall, the Titans shot 41.3% from the floor.

Three-time Big West player of the week, Raina Perez, held to 11 points at CSUN on Thursday, was back to her scoring ways, logging 34 points and three assists.  Perez has now scored 30-plus points of three occasions this season.  Her scoring average will likely keep her as the Big West Conference leader.

Two other Titans finished the night in double-figures:  Taylor Turney had 11 points to go with six rebounds and four assists.  Carolyn Gill notched 10 points and six rebounds.  Nine of her points were scored in the first two quarters.

Fullerton outrebounded Hawai'i 38-34 led by Amiee Book's 12 boards.  She also contributed seven points.  Megan Nieto added the only Titan bench points on the evening with six

Cal State Fullerton will return home to face UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, January 25 at 5:00 p.m., as the first game of a Titan Gym doubleheader.  The men will host CSUN at 7:30 p.m.
