FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans improved to 6-5 on the season after pulling away from Cal Baptist 97-93 in a non-conference matchup tonight in Titan Gym.

Trailing the Lancers 39-45 at halftime, the Titans stormed back in the last two quarters to outscore CBU 58-48 for the win.

Fullerton was led by Taylor Turney who notched a double-double with 31 points and 14 rebounds.  She also distributed six assists.  Turney, however, was hardly alone, as the Titans shared the ball all night.  Raina Perez dropped in 25 points to go with nine boards.  Amiee Book scored 24 points and hauled down nine rebounds, and Carolyn Gill contributed seven points and nine rebounds to go with her hard-nosed defense.

The Titans shot an impressive 35-69 (50.7%) from the floor, and 22-31 (71.0%) from the charity stripe in the exciting victory.  Fullerton also dominated on the boards, outrebounding Cal Baptist 53-30.  16 of those rebounds were on the offensive end.

Cal State Fullerton will next play on Saturday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m. when they host Air Force (2-8, 1-1 MWC) in Titan Gym.
