PHOENIX, Ariz. – Raina Perez was relentless in her Arizona homecoming, as the Titans (4-2, 0-0 BWC) defeated Grand Canyon University 80-70 on Sunday afternoon.  Perez led all scorers with 26 points on 10-22 shooting, including 3-6 from beyond the 3-point arc.  This was Perez' fifth consecutive game scoring 20 or more points.

Three other Titans scored in double-digits to secure the road win.  Taylor Turney contributed 16 points and 10 assists.  Turney's first Titan double-double.  Carolyn Gill, in her first start of the season, added 14 points and eight rebounds.  Center Janette Mensah scored 10 points on 4-5 shooting, and hauled down eight boards.

Coming into the game, the Antelopes were leading the country in 3-point field goal percentage.  Tough Titan defense held them to only a 33.3% on the day.  The Titans also forced 14 turnovers, and outrebounded Grand Canyon 41-28, led by Joy Krupa with 11.  This was Krupa's fourth double-digit rebounding performance.

Said head coach Jeff Harada:  "I couldn't be prouder of our team for digging deep today to grind out a big road win.  Different players stepped up at diffierent moments to to make plays.  And we needed every one of them.  Shout out to the Perez and Rodarte families who came out in bunches to to make it feel like a home game.  Happy we got the win for them!"
