FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton head coach Jeff Harada has added two more freshmen to join the team for the 2019-20 season.

"Really excited to add two quality players at this time of the year," said Harada. "Anniken and Malia bring solid skill sets and a competitive swagger to our team, but more importantly their high character and strong academic backgrounds further enhance the type of players we want as we continue to add to the culture we've established with our program."

Anniken Frey | 5'7" | Oslo, Norway
Anniken Frey comes to Fullerton from Oslo, Norway where she played at Ullern. She helped lead her team to four straight National Championships in the Women's Top League earning an MVP along the way. In total, she has been a part of eight national titles with two more coming on the under 16 team and two on the under 19 team.

Harada on Frey: "Anniken has competed at the highest level in Norway the last few years as the only high school player and starting point guard on the Senior National Team. That speaks not only to her skill level, but also the leadership qualities and maturity she possesses. She has great bloodlines as both her mother and father played on the National Team and her brother is an All-Conference player at Montana State. Definitely excited to see how she transitions to a different style of basketball and what she can bring to our team."

Malia Goldsmith | 5'6" | Irvine, Calif.
Malia Goldmsith joins the Titans after four years of varsity basketball at University High School in Irvine, California. She was named the team MVP her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons as well as the Pacific Coast League MVP in her junior and senior seasons. She also helped lead the Trojans to three straight league titles from 2017-19. Goldsmith finished her high school career holding the school records for most points, three-pointers, steals, and assists.

Harada on Goldsmith: "Malia is as competitive as they come and we're excited she'll be joining us this fall. She's had a very established high school career and I know how eager she is to prove herself at this level. She loves being in the gym and her work ethic and positive attitude will hopefully be contagious within our team."
