FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's basketball will host Women's Empowerment day on Saturday against CSUN in Titan Gym. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN3 with tip-off happening at 6:00 p.m.

All women will have free entry to the game.

The Titans will have a rematch against the Matadors after a tough loss in Northridge at the end of last month. Fullerton looks to snap their five-game losing skid after a pair of losses last week which has dropped them to 11-11 overall (3-6 in conference). They currently sit in seventh place in the Big West standings while CSUN is up to fourth. The Matadors are currently 11-12 overall (5-4 in conference) and have lost their last two games going into Thursday. They are hosting Cal Poly Thursday night in the Matadome before traveling down to Fullerton for Saturday's game.

50TH ANNIVERSARY
This season marks the 50th year of women's basketball at Cal State Fullerton. The program made its debut in the 1969-70 season and won the CIAW National Championship that year. The program's history was celebrated January 5 against Hawaii

LAST TIME OUT
Fullerton suffered a pair of losses last week making it five straight defeats. The first loss was a hard fought battle against UC Riverside, where the Highlanders came out on top 62-59. Four Titans reached double-figures led by Daeja Smith's 14 points. Amiee Book recorded her first career double-double with 10 points & 11 rebounds.

In the second game of the week, the Titans took a 12-point lead into the fourth quarter, but would eventually fall to UC Irvine 61-65. Once again, four Titans reached double-figures led by Daeja Smith's 14 points. Carolyn Gill set career-highs with 18 rebounds and 4 blocks.

IN THE RECORD BOOKS
Several Titans have found their way into the record books on the all-time career leaderboards:

Hannah Thompson.....3rd in Three-Point Percentage (36.0%)
Jade Vega.................8th in Assists (369)
Daeja Smith..............2nd in Blocks (135)
...............................3rd in Double-Doubles (27)
...............................5th in Rebounds (786)
...............................9th in Field Goal Percentage (49.2%)

A GRAND ACCOMPLISHMENT
Jade Vega joined the 1,000-point club against UC Davis making her the 25th player in program history to accomplish the feat. Fellow senior Daeja Smith also reached 1,000 points earlier this season making them the first pair of teammates to reach the milestone since the 2010-11 season.

EXCLUSIVE CLUBS
Daeja Smith hit 1,000 career points to go along with her 750-career rebounds. That makes her just the 4th player in program history to reach both of those marks. She currently sits at 1,093 points and 786 rebounds.

Jade Vega hit 1,000 career points and has dished out over 350 assists in her Titan career. She is just the 6th player in program history to reach both of those milestones in a career. The senior currently sits at 1,033 points and 369 assists.

DAEJA-VU
Picking up where she left off last year, Daeja Smith has shown why she's on the Lisa Leslie Award watch list. Through 22 games, she has seven double-doubles, averaging 13.0 ppg and 8.6 rpg. Her best game came against CBU when she set a career-high 26 points to go along with 16 rebounds.

GAME CHANGER
Raina Perez was forced to redshirt last season, but has shown everyone what she's capable of already this year. After missing the first game, she is averaging 12.4 points per game and 5.1 assists in 35.5 minutes per game.

RED HOT KIWI
Freshman Amiee Book has been absolutely on fire from the field this season. In twelve games, she is shooting 49.7% (83-167) from the field and 42.7% (35-82) from three. She currently ranks third in program single-season history in three-point percentage.

SHARING IS CARING
This year's Fullerton team plays very unselfishly passing up good shots for great shots. Because of that, they have 332 assists on the year averaging 15.1 per game. They currently rank 89th and 74th in the NCAA respectively

ON FIRE FROM THE FIELD
The Titans have shot lights out from the field so far this year, ranking second in the conference shooting 41.8% from the field leading to 63.2 points per game which is the third highest scoring team in the Big West.

KEEP THEM OFF THE LINE
Fullerton does not allow their opponents many chances from the charity strike. Opponents are only averaging 9.0 made free throws per game and the Titans only average 13.8 fouls per game, which ranks 13th fewest in the country. Overall, they have only committed 304 fouls on the year which is fewest in the Big West and the 10th fewest in the NCAA.
