FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton hits the road for a pair of road games this week as they play at UC Riverside Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and at UC Irvine on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. The Titans are looking to end their three-game losing skid.

UC Riverside currently sits in fourth place in the conference standings with a 4-3 record (10-11 overall) averaging 61.5 points per game. The Highlanders are led by two-time Big West Player of the Week award recipient Jannon Otto, who is fourth in scoring averaging 14.7 points per game. UCR is big on the glass as they have three players in the top 10 for rebounds per game led by Maridna Ewodo and Daphne Gnago who both average 7.0 boards a game. The team is currently on a three-game winning streak beating Long Beach State, Hawaii, and UC Santa Barbara in their last three contests.

UC Irvine had their best start in program history for the 2018-19 season, but have since cooled down a bit in conference. They sit in second place with a 4-2 record (14-4 overall) and have the highest scoring offense in the league averaging 74.1 points per game. The Anteaters also feature the numer two scorer in the league, Jordan Sanders, who is averaging 20.2 points per game. UCI has won their last two games with victories over Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara. This game will be featured nationally on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

50TH ANNIVERSARY
This season marks the 50th year of women's basketball at Cal State Fullerton. The program made its debut in the 1969-70 season and won the CIAW National Championship that year. The program's history was celebrated January 5 against Hawaii

LAST TIME OUT
Fullerton suffered a pair of losses last week starting with a rough game against CSUN. It marked back-to-back 30-point losses falling to the Matadors 44-74. Carolyn Gill was the only standout for the Titans recording a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

In their second game of the week, the Titans had an amazing comeback come up just short against Long Beach. After starting the game 0-17 from the field in the first 14 minutes, they ended the game 15-1 scoring run but would fall 53-59. Gill led the scoring once again with 13 points while Daeja Smith recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

IN THE RECORD BOOKS
Several Titans have found their way into the record books on the all-time career leaderboards:

Hannah Thompson.....3rd in Three-Point Percentage (36.1%)
Jade Vega.................8th in Assists (362)
Daeja Smith..............2nd in Blocks (131)
...............................3rd in Double-Doubles (28)
...............................5th in Rebounds (779)
...............................9th in Field Goal Percentage (48.8%)

A GRAND ACCOMPLISHMENT
Jade Vega joined the 1,000-point club against UC Davis making her the 25th player in program history to accomplish the feat. Fellow senior Daeja Smith also reached 1,000 points earlier this season making them the first pair of teammates to reach the milestone since the 2010-11 season.

EXCLUSIVE CLUBS
Daeja Smith hit 1,000 career points to go along with her 750-career rebounds. That makes her just the 4th player in program history to reach both of those marks. She currently sits at 1,065 points and 779 rebounds.

Jade Vega hit 1,000 career points and has dished out over 350 assists in her Titan career. She is just the 6th player in program history to reach both of those milestones in a career. The senior currently sits at 1,016 points and 362 assists.

DAEJA-VU
Picking up where she left off last year, Daeja Smith has shown why she's on the Lisa Leslie Award watch list. Through 20 games, she has seven double-doubles, averaging 12.9 ppg and 9.2 rpg. Her best game came against CBU when she set a career-high 26 points to go along with 16 rebounds.

GAME CHANGER
Raina Perez was forced to redshirt last season, but has shown everyone what she's capable of already this year. After missing the first game, she is averaging 12.5 points per game and 5.2 assists in 35.7 minutes per game.

RED HOT KIWI
Freshman Amiee Book has been absolutely on fire from the field this season. In twelve games, she is shooting 49.7% (73-147) from the field and 44.4% (32-72) from three. She currently leads the conference in three-point percentage.

SHARING IS CARING
This year's Fullerton team plays very unselfishly passing up good shots for great shots. Because of that, they have 304 assists on the year averaging 15.2 per game. They currently rank 73rd in all of NCAA in assists per game.

ON FIRE FROM THE FIELD
The Titans have shot lights out from the field so far this year, ranking second in the conference shooting 41.5% from the field leading to 63.5 points per game which is the third highest scoring team in the Big West.

KEEP THEM OFF THE LINE
Fullerton does not allow their opponents many chances from the charity strike. Opponents are only averaging 9.0 made free throws per game and the Titans only average 13.7 fouls per game, which ranks 13th fewest in the country. Overall, they have only committed 273 fouls on the year which is fewest in the Big West and the 8th fewest in the NCAA.
