FULLERTON, Calif. - The Titans came out with a 56-55 victory over Utah Valley thanks to a three from Amiee Book with 16 seconds left on the clock. Fullerton finishes their non-conference schedule with an 8-5 record, which is the best mark since 1990-91 when the program went 11-4 in non-conference.

Book finished the game with 12 points, good for second-best on the team. Carolyn Gill led the way with 16 points and nine rebounds. Daeja Smith was the only other Titan in double-figures finishing with 10 points and nine rebounds. Jade Vega and Raina Perez had six points each to go along with seven and five assits respectively.

Jordan Holland led all scorers for the Wolverines putting up 21 points on 7-10 shooting and 5-7 from the strike.

Fullerton got off to a slow start shooting 35% from the field, but still hung onto the lead after the first quarter. However, the second quarter turned out to be their lowest scoring quarter of the season as they mustered up just four points on 2-13 shooting. It gave Utah Valley the lead going into the break.

The Titans came out in the third looking like their usual selves shooting a scorching hot 52.6% from the field. The two teams would go into the fourth and final quarter knotted up at 39.

It was a back-and-forth battle the entire fourth as there was seven different lead changes and the game was tied on two separate occasions. After a Utah Valley bucket with 1:46 on the clock, Fullerton trailed it by four as the final minute approached. Gill would hit a jumper to cut the deficit to two with just over a minute to play setting up the game-winning scenario. Book popped out beyond the arc and drained her second three of the ballgame with just 16 seconds left giving Fullerton their sixth win in their last seven games.

The Titans will come back after the New Year and open up conference play against Hawai'i on Jan. 5. The game will also be a celebration of the program's 50th anniversary as alumni are encouraged to come watch and be honored for being a part of the team's history.
