FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton had their five-game winning streak snapped in a 64-72 loss against Pacific on Saturday. The loss puts the Titans at 7-5 for the season.
Hannah Thompson and Raina Perez led the way for Fullerton putting up 16 points each. Thompson also pulled down six boards while Perez dished out five assists. Those were the only two Titans in double-figures, but Carolyn Gill was just shy putting up nine points. Daeja Smith had the team-high in rebounds with seven and Jade Vega had the game-high in assists with seven.
Pacific's Valerie Higgins led all scorers and rebounders with 22 and 13 respectively. Brooklyn McDavid also had 17 points for the Tigers.
It was an evenly matched contest through the first half as each team shot over 40%, but Pacific took a three-point lead into the half.

Down the stretch, this game came down to rebounding and the Tigers won it by a landslide, 48 to Fullerton's 32. The Titans just could not stop Pacific on the offensive glass as the Tigers pulled down 23 offensive boards leading to 22 second chance points. Fullerton had just six offensive rebounds and were kept off the board in terms of second chance points.

Fullerton will look to bounce back in their final non-conference on Dec. 29, when Utah Valley comes to town.
