FULLERTON, Calif. – Sophomore Carolyn Gill has been accepted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. The event took place last week where she along with her fellow scholars took the pledge to join the organization.

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is an honors organization that recognizes and elevates high-achieving students. NSCS provides career and graduate school connections, leadership and service opportunities, leadership and service opportunities.
"Being a part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars means a whole lot me," says Gill. "This organizations shows that students like me are not just athletes, but that we are students who take our academics very seriously. I don't want people to think of me or my peers as people who just go to practice and just play sports, but that we are smart people that care about our academics."
The organization gives over a million dollars in scholarships every year, from Merit Award scholarships to program-specific scholarships. Members are viewed as leaders in their education community and meet together at the annual NSCS Leadership Summit. As a whole, the organization is a nationwide community of member scholars, officers, advisors, partners, employers, sponsors, and much more.
