THIS WEEK
Cal State Fullerton (4-17, 1-7 Big West) travels to UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. tip from The Thunderdome. Cal State is 0-9 on the road this year.

WEEKLY UPDATE
The Titans' four overall wins in 2016-17 have eclipsed Fullerton's three wins from a season ago. Cal State Fullerton is currently ninth in the Big West Conference standings, while the Gauchos (10-10, 5-2) sit in third place behind Long Beach State and UC Davis.

IN THE BIG WEST AND MORE
Iman Lathan is averaging 16.1 points per game, ranking second in the Big West Conference. She has led the Titans in scoring on 14 occasions this season and has reached the 20-point plateau nine times. 
• Sophomore center Daeja Smith's .520 field goal percentage ranks third in the Big West Conference and her 8.0 rebounds per game rate second. In addition, Smith's 1.3 blocks per game rank third in the Big West.
• Senior center Dhanyel Johnson averages 6.6 rebounds per game to rank ninth in the Big West.
• Cal State Fullerton has two players with offensive rebounding averages ranking in the top five of the Big West Conference: Daeja Smith (3.4, 2nd) and Dhanyel Johnson (2.7, 5th).

SOPHOMORE SUCCESS
• Last week, sophomore center Daeja Smith averaged 10.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game to lead Cal State Fullerton while shooting 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from the floor.
• Fellow sophomore guard Jade Vega averaged 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game last week.

KEYS TO VICTORY
• Cal State Fullerton is 4-3 when opponents score 59 points or less and 0-14 when opponents score 60 points or more.
• Fullerton is 4-1 when leading at the half, 0-15 when trailing at the break and 0-1 when the score is tied.
• Fullerton is 2-0 when five or more players score in double figures.
• The Titans have been outscored 404-299 in the third quarter this season.

UC SANTA BARBARA NOTES
• UCSB (10-10, 5-2) currently sits in third place in the Big West standings, just a half game behind UC Davis (15-6, 6-2) for second. 
• The Gauchos have gone 5-1 since losing their conference opener to Cal Poly on Jan. 5, with key home wins over first place LBSU (Jan. 19) and fourth place UCR (Jan. 14). They have won three straight at the Thunderdome and are undefeated at home in conference play. 
• The Gauchos are one of two Big West teams with four double-digit scorers during conference play, with top contributor Sarah Porter ranking 19th at 13.8 points per game.  Drea Toler (11.1 ppg), Onome Jemerigbe (10.9) and Drew Edelman (10.3) round out UCSB's leading scorers. 
• Cal State Fullerton's last win over UCSB was a 54-50 victory in Fullerton on Jan. 24, 2015. The Titans last defeated the Gauchos in Santa Barbara by the score of 67-62 on Jan. 25, 2014, ending a 22-game road losing streak to UCSB that dated back to 1991.

ROSTER UPDATE
Keimeshia Walker has left the women's basketball program and Cal State Fullerton to pursue other opportunities.

THE RETURNERS
Fullerton returns to the floor with just one starter from last year, 5-foot-5 sophomore guard, Jade Vega. In total, the Titans return only three letterwinners with sophomore guard Lauren Nubla and senior center Dhanyel Johnson back on the floor. 

2017 RECRUITING CLASS
The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team welcomed four commits to the program as high school seniors Laura Dalton, Xinavane Foreman, Carolyn Gill and Mason VanHouten each signed National Letters of Intent to begin their respective collegiate careers at Fullerton for the 2017-18 season, it was announced by fourth-year head coach Daron Park on Nov. 16.

AWARD SEASON
Junior guard Iman Lathan averaged 23.7 points over three games to earn Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Dec. 6.The native of Temecula, Calif., led the Titans in scoring in all three games as they went 2-1 overall. For the week, Lathan averaged 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in addition to leading the Titans in scoring.  She also got to the free throw line extensively, making 17 of her 27 attempts.

LAST TIME OUT
DAVIS, Calif. --- Plagued by 24 turnovers, Cal State Fullerton suffered a 59-39 loss to UC Davis on Saturday afternoon at The Pavilion in Big West Conference action.Fullerton (4-17, 1-7 BWC) has lost four in a row, while the Aggies improve to 15-6 overall and 7-2 in league play.The Titans were within striking distance, trailing 36-29 after three quarters, but the Aggies outscored CSF, 23-10, in the fourth quarter to put the game away.During the final 10 minutes, Fullerton turned the ball over six times, while UC Davis shot 53.3 percent from the floor as seven of its final eight baskets came from long distance.Cal State Fullerton sophomore center Daeja Smith just missed out on a double-double, scoring a team-leading 10 points to go along with nine rebounds and three assists. Sophomore guard Jade Vega added eight points, six boards and three dishes.The Aggies were led by Pele Gianotti's 14-point effort as she knocked down four three-pointers in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Rachel Nagel scored 11 points and added five rebounds and five assists, while Kourtney Eaton dished a game-high seven assists.
