THIS WEEK
Cal State Fullerton (4-15, 1-5 Big West) will host Long Beach State at 7 p.m., Thursday at Titan Gym, before traveling to The Pavilion to play UC Davis at 2:30 p.m., Saturday. The Aggies will be the first Big West opponent the Titans play for the second time this season.

WEEKLY UPDATE
The Titans' four overall wins in 2016-17 have eclipsed Fullerton's three wins from a season ago. Cal State Fullerton (4-15, 1-5) is currently ninth in the Big West Conference standing.

IN THE BIG WEST AND MORE
• Saturday's game will feature two of the league's top three scorers in Cal State Fullerton junior guard Iman Lathan and UC Davis sophomore Morgan Bertsch as each player is averaging 16.8 points per game.
• Lathan has led the Titans in scoring on 14 occasions this season and has reached the 20-point plateau nine times. 
• Sophomore center Daeja Smith's .519 field goal percentage ranks fourth in the Big West Conference and her 7.9 rebounds per game rate second. In addition, Smith's 1.3 blocks per game rank fourth in the Big West.
• Last week, Daeja Smith recorded back-to-back double-doubles, averaging 11.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. Her six double-doubles on the season tie for second in the Big West Conference.
• Senior center Dhanyel Johnson averages 6.9 rebounds per game to rank seventh in the Big West.
• Cal State Fullerton has two players with offensive rebounding averages ranking in the top 10 of the Big West Conference: Daeja Smith (3.5, 2nd) and Dhanyel Johnson (2.9, 3rd).

• Cal State Fullerton is holding opponents to 60.8 points per game in Big West Conference action, but the Titans are averaging just 50.0 ppg.

• Long Beach State, UC Santa Barbara and UC Riverside enter the week in a three-way tie at the top of the Big West Conference standings.
• Long Beach State senior guard/forward Jewelyn Sawyer has turned heads as arguably the 49ers' most indispensable player. The reigning Big West Defensive Player of the Year is averaging 10.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 25.4 minutes of play. 
• Cal State Fullerton last defeated Long Beach State, 71-55, on March 1, 2014, in Long Beach.

UC DAVIS NOTES
• With a 7-2 record within the friendly confines of The Pavilion this season, UC Davis is just one win shy of last season's home win total (8-5).
• UC Davis remains at the top of the Big West when it comes to scoring offense at 71.6 ppg (No. 75 in the nation), helped along by the fact that UC Davis is one of the most accurate shooting teams in the country. The Aggies rank No. 31 in the NCAA in field goal (.447), No. 34 in free throw (.756), and No. 53 in three-point percentage (.352).
• Cal State Fullerton's last win over UC Davis was a 65-62 victory on Feb. 13, 2014 in Davis..

ROSTER UPDATE
Keimeshia Walker has left the women's basketball program and Cal State Fullerton to pursue other opportunities.

THE RETURNERS
Fullerton returns to the floor with just one starter from last year, 5-foot-5 sophomore guard, Jade Vega. In total, the Titans return only three letterwinners with sophomore guard Lauren Nubla and senior center Dhanyel Johnson back on the floor. 

2017 RECRUITING CLASS
The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team welcomed four commits to the program as high school seniors Laura Dalton, Xinavane Foreman, Carolyn Gill and Mason VanHouten each signed National Letters of Intent to begin their respective collegiate careers at Fullerton for the 2017-18 season, it was announced by fourth-year head coach Daron Park on Nov. 16.

AWARD SEASON
Junior guard Iman Lathan averaged 23.7 points over three games to earn Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Dec. 6.The native of Temecula, Calif., led the Titans in scoring in all three games as they went 2-1 overall. For the week, Lathan averaged 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in addition to leading the Titans in scoring.  She also got to the free throw line extensively, making 17 of her 27 attempts.

LAST TIME OUT
Cal State Fullerton was plagued by early turnovers and UC Riverside was able to capitalize as the defending Big West Conference regular season champions defeated the Titans, 68-45 at SRC Arena on Saturday night. The league's leading scorer, Réjane Vérin, scored a game-high 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out five assists. Also reaching double figures for the Highlanders was Michelle Curry with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while Malou De Kergret poured in 13 points knocking down three three-pointers. Skyler Lewis grabbed eight rebounds and blocked five shots for UCR.Iman Lathan came off the bench to lead Cal State Fullerton with 14 points, while Daeja Smith recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 11 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
