THIS WEEK
On a three-game losing streak, Cal State Fullerton returns home to play  UC Irvine at 6 p.m., Saturday at Titan Gym.

WEEKLY UPDATE
The Titans have lost six straight Big West Conference games dating back to last season, and have lost nine of their last 10 overall in 2016-17. 

IN THE BIG WEST AND MORE
• Junior guard Iman Lathan is averaging 16.9 points per game, ranking second in the Big West Conference. The junior guard has led the Titans in scoring on 11 occasions this season and has reached the 20-point plateau eight times.
• Sophomore center Daeja Smith's .550 field goal percentage tops the Big West Conference and her 7.4 rebounds per game rank fourth. In addition, Smith's 1.3 blocks per game rank fourth in the Big West.
• Senior center Dhanyel Johnson averages 6.9 rebounds per game to rank seventh in the Big West.
Jordan Jackson's 27 made three-pointers tie for seventh in the Big West.
• Cal State Fullerton has two players with offensive rebounding averages ranking in the top 10 of the Big West Conference: Daeja Smith (3.3, 2nd) and Dhanyel Johnson (2.9, 4th).

KEYS TO VICTORY
• Cal State Fullerton is holding opponents to 58.0 points per game in Big West Conference action, but the Titans are averaging just 46.7 ppg.
• Cal State Fullerton is 3-2 when opponents score 59 points or less and 0-11 when opponents score 60 points or more.
• Fullerton is 3-1 when leading at the half, 0-11 when trailing at the break and 0-1 when the score is tied.
• Fullerton is 2-0 when five or more players score in double figures.

GAME NOTES FROM HAWAI'I (Jan. 12, 2017)
Cal State Fullerton is currently ninth in the Big West Conference standings as the only team without a league win thus far…Fullerton is 0-7 on the road this season…Iman Lathan's 21-point effort was her eighth 20-point game of the year as she led the Titans in scoring for the 11th time this season…Lathan's game-high five assists matched a career high...for the first time this season, Cal State Fullerton did not connect on an outside bucket, shooting 0-of-15 from three-point range…the last time the Titans did not make at least one three-pointer was a 65-52 loss at Hawai'i on Feb. 15, 2014 in a 0-of-14 shooting performance…the Titans had knocked down at least one three-pointer in 84 straight games.

UC IRVINE NOTES
• Sophomore Andee Ritter is tops in the Big West with 44 threes (2.8/game). She has connected from long distance in 15 of 16 outings and has hit multiple treys in 10 contests. 
• Shereen Sutherland leads the 'Eaters with 11.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per outing.
• Cal State Fullerton's last road win as well as last conference win was a 66-53 victory over UC Irvine on Feb. 20, 2016.

ROSTER UPDATE
Keimeshia Walker has left the women's basketball program and Cal State Fullerton to pursue other opportunities.

THE RETURNERS
Fullerton returns to the floor with just one starter from last year, 5-foot-5 sophomore guard, Jade Vega. In total, the Titans return only three letterwinners with sophomore guard Lauren Nubla and senior center Dhanyel Johnson back on the floor. 

2017 RECRUITING CLASS
The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team welcomed four commits to the program as high school seniors Laura Dalton, Xinavane Foreman, Carolyn Gill and Mason VanHouten each signed National Letters of Intent to begin their respective collegiate careers at Fullerton for the 2017-18 season, it was announced by fourth-year head coach Daron Park on Nov. 16.

AWARD SEASON
Junior guard Iman Lathan averaged 23.7 points over three games to earn Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Dec. 6.The native of Temecula, Calif., led the Titans in scoring in all three games as they went 2-1 overall. For the week, Lathan averaged 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in addition to leading the Titans in scoring.  She also got to the free throw line extensively, making 17 of her 27 attempts.

LAST TIME OUT
A cold-shooting third quarter allowed Hawai'i to pull away from Cal State Fullerton as the Rainbow Wahine recorded a 60-50 victory over the Titans in Big West Conference action on Thursday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.The win marked UH's first league win of the season as Hawai'i improves to 5-10 on the year and 1-2 in conference play. Fullerton (3-13, 0-3) is still searching for its first Big West win and has dropped nine out of its last 10 overall.Iman Lathan scored a game-high 21 points off the bench for Fullerton to produce her eighth 20-point game of the season. The junior guard added seven rebounds and a game-high five assists. Lathan was the only Titan to reach double figures as Daeja Smith added eight points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots.Lahni Salanoa led Hawai'i scoring 19 points, while Briana Harris totaled 14 points off the bench on 5-of-7 shooting.The game was even at 24-24 at the break, but the Rainbow Wahine outscored Fullerton 15-6 in the third quarter to gain a healthy cushion for the final 10 minutes of play. The Titans turned the ball over seven times in the third period and shot just 2-of-8 from the floor.
