DAVIS, Calif. – Freshman Jade Vega posted the first 20-point game of her career and Michelle Berry knocked down her 10th double-double of the season yet were upended by UC Davis 56-80 at the Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

Vega set a new career-high at 20 points and also dished out eight assists against the Aggies while Berry posted 15 points and 11 rebounds to record her 10th double-double of the year.

Yet the Aggies had two players score 20 points with 33 points coming off the bench while outrebounding the Titans 38-32.

The Titans quickly fell behind as the Aggies ran away with the first quarter, posting 20 points led by Davis' Rachel Nagel who put up eight points with two three's.

Fullerton quickly answered back in the second quarter, scoring 21 points with 11 of them coming from Vega. The Titans went on an 8-0 run to start the second, and tied up the game multiple times until UC Davis came back at the end of the first half to take the five-point lead.

Fullerton trailed 30-35 at halftime, being led by Vega with 11 points and Berry who had nine points and six rebounds.

The start of the second half favored the Aggies as they opened up the third period going on a 13-point run before Sami Logan put up her third three-pointer of the game to get the Titans on the board in the second half.

Fullerton ended up giving up another 23 points to the Aggies in the third quarter to give the Titans their largest deficit of the game at 18.

The Titans attempted a comeback in the final quarter, putting up 16 points yet the Aggies tacked on another 22 to keep their lead and defeat the Titans, 80-56.

Fullerton returns to action on Thursday as they host Cal Poly at Titan Gym at 7 p.m.
