ANAHEIM, Calif.—Cal State Fullerton junior forward Mya Olivier was named to the Big West Conference's All-Tournament Team after the conference tournament's championship game Saturday afternoon.
She averaged 12.7 points (7th) and 6.3 rebounds (13th) per game over the Titans' three-game Big West Tournament run. Her 33.7 minutes played per game also ranked seventh. Her 17 points scored vs. Hawai'i marked a season-high, while her two three's made and two assists both tied a season-bests.
Olivier led Fullerton in scoring in its first two tournament games, averaging 17 points per game, on 11-of-25 shooting, in it's upset wins over fifth-seeded Long Beach State and third-seeded Hawai'i.
Her heroics surfaced once again in Friday's semifinal affair vs. top-seeded Pacific, as she nailed a three-pointer to tie the game at 51-51 with just 16 seconds left in the contest, before Erica McKenzie eventually hit the game-winner 10 ticks later.
Olivier ends the season as the Titans' second-leading rebounder (5.3 rpg) and third-leading scorer (7.2 ppg).
Tournament MVP Molly Schlemer (Cal Poly), Ariana Elgado (Cal Poly), Gena Johnson (Pacific), Erica McKenzie (Pacific), and Devin Hudson (Long Beach State) also recieved all-tournament honors.
