Fullerton leads the all-time series with Cal Poly SLO, 13-4-0, but has lost on two of its last three trips to San Luis Obispo. Fullerton and UC Davis have split four meetings. In the only previous meeting in Fullerton, the Titans won 3-1 last season.

ABOUT THE AGGIES:

UC Davis has sent a message that it will be a major force in men's soccer when it becomes an official Big West Conference member for the 2007 season. The Aggies have split with Cal Poly, beaten UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton and tied Cal State Northridge and UC Irvine. They routed the Titans, 4-0, in Davis on Sept. 15. Goalkeeper Charles Warne logged one of his five shutouts that day. Quincy Amarikwa scored two of his team-high 7 goals and Paul Marcoux (5 goals) added one of his.

ABOUT THE TITANS:

Eugene Brooks leads the Big West Conference in scoring with 8 goals and 18 points. He ranks No. 21 in the NCAA in points (1.64 per game) and No. 16 in goals (0.73 per game).

With five victories, the Titans have surpassed last year's total (4-14-1) and have matched the Big West Conference win total (1-9-0). With two road victories (at San Jose State and at UNLV), the Titans have two more road wins than all of last season. They also own a neutral site win (over Oral Roberts at Memphis).

Skyler Thuresson scored only two goals last season and had only one this year before he erupted for two scores vs. UC Riverside on Saturday night. He put Fullerton ahead, 1-0, and then broke a 2-2 tie with a goal 16 seconds after the Highlanders had scored their second goal. Thuresson is tied for third with Amir Shafii on the team in scoring with 9 points. Michael Farfan has 4 goals and 2 assists for 10 points to rank second.

Since taking over for Brent Douglas late in the Maine game, Kevin Puder has played every minute in goal for the Titans. He has a 2-3-0 record in his five starts. Each goalkeeper has allowed 11 goals and made 28 saves.
