Fullerton, Calif. - Freshman Wes Feighner and sophomore David Zamora scored goals within an 8-minute span early in the second half to carry Cal Poly to a 2-0 Big West Conference men's soccer victory Saturday night at Cal State Fullerton.

The Mustangs (8-3-2, 3-1-0) completed a season sweep of the Titans (3-10-0,0-3-0), whose current 4-game losing streak -- all shutouts -- began with a 3-0 defeat in San Luis Obispo on Oct. 1.

A superbly placed cross from the left side by Kyle Montgomery set up Feighner, who was streaking in on Titans' goalkeeper Kevin Puder and shot from point-blank range at 56:26. Zamora's goal came from about 15 yards at 63:54 after two Fullerton defenders collided trying to track down a pass from Anton Peterlin.

"Another disappointing loss," said Fullerton Head Coach Bob Ammann. "I can't fault the effort, but the execution needs to be better. With the number of chances that we create we must get something more to show for it.

"We lost an opportunity tonight to get right in the thick of things with regards to our league positioning. The good thing for us is that there are still a number of games and 21 points available. Our next opportunity to get after it again is this Wednesday when we play a rematch at Davis."

Cal Poly goalkeeper Eric Branagan-Franco made 3 saves -- two in one Fullerton flurry in the 15th minute -- to log his fifth shutout. Puder was credited with 5 saves.

Fullerton goes on the road next week to UC Davis and Cal State Northridge. The Titans are 3-5 away from Titan Stadium, where they are now 0-5.
