Box Score

Fullerton, CA - Arron Craggs scored two goals including the game winner 2:31 into overtime Friday night to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 3-2 non-conference men's soccer victory over the Air Force Academy.

The Titans' first win of the year left their record at 1-4-1 while the Falcons fell to 2-4-1.

Craggs dribbled the ball in from the left flank, passed to Jose Barragan near the top of the box and converted a quick return pass into a golden goal to the far post and past Air Force goalkeeper Brian Guyette.

The Titans had matched their previous season total of goals in the first half to forge a 2-1 lead. But the Falcons tied the score for the second time with 19 minutes to play when Damon Wong directed a shot through traffic past Titans' keeper Bobby Armstrong. Air Force twice hit a post in the final six minutes.

Earl Alexander gave the Titans an early 1-0 lead when he tapped in a rebound of his own shot that hit the far post and rolled back along the goal line. Scott Muir from Rancho Santa Margarita (Trabuco Hills HS) knotted the match for Air Force with 25 minutes gone but Craggs put the Titans back on top when he converted a breakaway on passes from Yaron Shlomi and Alexander at 32:32.

Each goalkeeper made 5 saves in the physical match that produced six yellow cards plus a red and a yellow on the Air Force bench.

Fullerton next plays Wednesday afternoon at UC Davis. Air Force is at UC Irvine on Sunday.
