Fullerton and Gonzaga End in 1-1 Draw

SPOKANE, Wash. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer and Gonzaga ended in a 1-1 draw Thursday night at Luger Field. The Titans are now 2-2-1 on the year.

Fullerton dominated in the first half, out-shooting Gonzaga 9-0 but were unable to take advantage. The Titans were on the attack from the opening whistle, creating a great chance in the first minute of play that ended with Matthias Heiland missing a shot just wide of the net.

Gonzaga took the lead early in the second half on a goal by Ian Silva in the 49th minute.

Fullerton quickly responded to tie the game at 1-1 on penalty kick from Sulaiman Bah in the 52nd minute. Bah is tied for a team-high with two goals in three games played this season.

The Titans recorded 13 more shots in the second half and ended the game with a season-high 22 shots compared to Gonzaga's six shots.

Fullerton remains in the Pacific Northwest to face Washington on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. PT.
