Men's Soccer Falls to Seattle in Home Opener

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer dropped its home opener to Seattle by a final score of 2-0 Thursday evening at Titan Stadium. The Titans drop to 1-2 on the year.

Neither team was able to create many quality chances in the first half. The Titans outshot Seattle 6-4 in the first 45 minutes with one being on goal.

Seattle broke the scoreless tie in the 58th minute on a goal by Jeremy Opong. Fullerton battled to get back in the game but opened themselves up for a counter-attack which led to Seattle taking a 2-0 lead in the 70th minute.

The Titans had chances to tie the game even after going down 2-0 as Sulaiman Bah and Erick Serrano both had quality shots go off the post.

Fullerton looks to bounce back Sunday as it hosts Incarnate Word at Titan Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT.
