Titans Drop Road Match to Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer suffered its first loss of the season, dropping its road contest to Evansville by a final score of 3-1. The Titans are now 1-1 on the year. 

Mario Carlos got the Titans on the board in the 25th minute to give the Titans a 1-0 lead. Carlos has two goals in two games this season. 

Evansville came back to tie the game at 1-1 in the 39th minute. The two teams went into the locker room at halftime tied. 

Evansville went on to score two goals in the second half in the 66th and 78th minute to take a 3-1 lead. 

The Titans had their opportunities to stay in the game but were unable to capitalize as they had six shots on goal compared to Evansville's five shots on goal. Fullerton also earned 12 corner kicks in the game while Evansville had five.  

Fullerton returns home to Titan Stadium for its home opener on Aug. 31 against Seattle at 5:00 p.m. PT.
