FULLERTON, Calif. – Following his standout 2022 season, Sebastian Cruz earned First Team All-Far West Region honors, United Soccer Coaches announced Friday. 

Cruz becomes the first Titan to be named to the First Team All-Far West Region in the history of the program. 

Cruz was also named The Big West Midfielder of the Year and earned first team all-conference honors after finishing second in The Big West with 22 points on eight goals and six assists which ranked 18th in the country. His eight goals ranked second in the conference while his six assists ranked tied for fourth.

Cruz is the first Titan to win a conference player of the year award since Ross McPhie was named Co-Midfielder of the Year in 2017 and is the first Titan to ever win a player of the year award outright. The junior has earned all-conference honors in each of his three seasons at Cal State Fullerton.
