FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer dropped its home opener in overtime to No. 15 LMU in overtime Friday night by a final score of 2-1.

In his first game as a Titan, Samuel Owusu scored in the 14th minute to give Fullerton a 1-0 lead. Owusu put the ball back of the net on a header off of a corner kick. Alex Thompson-Hill recorded the assist for his first point of the season.

The Titans fought tooth and nail in the second half as they were down to 10 men for the last 48 minutes of the match following a second yellow card shown to Edward Salazar.
Loyola Marymount tied the game on a penalty kick by Noel Caliskan in the 32nd minute of action to make it a 1-1. With just over two minutes left in the first overtime period, LMU's Creggton Charlton scored to give the Lions the victory.
Fullerton hits the road for a two-game road trip beginning next Sept. 10 against Air Force before taking on Denver Sunday afternoon.
