Men's Soccer Wraps Up Regular Season At Riverside

FULLERTON, Calif. – Following their 2-0 victory on the road against Omaha, the Titans wrap up their four-game road trip with the last regular season game of the year as they head to UC Riverside Saturday night at 7 p.m. PT.

The Titans and Highlanders will square off for the 40th time in the history of the programs. Fullerton leads the all-time matchup with a record of 20-11-8 and a 9-5-4 record at UC Riverside Soccer Stadium.

Riverside is 6-9-1 this season and are in second place in the Big West Conference standings with a 4-2-0 record in conference play. Daniel Aguirre leads the Highlanders with 12 points on five goals and two assists.

QUICK HITS
•Cal State Fullerton hits the road for its final regular season game Saturday where they are 4-3-3 this season.
Samuel Goni scored against UC Davis last week to give him a team-leading six goals this season.
Robert Coronado is now tied for eighth all-time in the history of the program with 17 assists.
Paul-Andre Guerin is now in sole possession of fifth all-time in the history of the program with 14 clean sheets .
•For the first time in the history of the program the Titans won offensive and defensive player of the week in the same week on Oct 15.
Christian Pinzon scored a highlight reel goal against Omaha to give him a career-high 5 goals on the season.
•With the Titans win over Omaha, Head Coach George Kuntz now has 50 wins during his time at Fullerton.

CORONADO CLIMBS RECORD BOOK
Fifth-year senior Robert Coronado has recorded five assist this season, including two in the last two games against UC Davis and Omaha, giving him 17 for his career, ranking him tied for eighth all-time in the history of the program. Coronado needs one more assist to move into a tie for sixth all-time and two more to move into a tie for fifth all-time. Matt Bradbury holds the record with 29 assists.

KUNTZ HITS 50 WINS
With the Titans 2-0 victory over Omaha, Head Coach George Kuntz now has 50 wins in his fifth season at Cal State Fullerton. The Titans have recorded double-digit wins in each of his first four seasons and their 43 wins over those four years is the most out of any other conference school.

TITANS SWEEP PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
For the first time in the history of the program Cal State Fullerton swept the weekly award honors as Paul-Andre Guerin won Big West Defensive Player of the Week and Samuel Goni won Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 15. Goni recorded an assist in the Titans win over Cal Poly while scoring the game-winning goal just 18 seconds into the second half against Sacramento State.  

Guerin recorded two clean sheets, leading to his second player of week honor this season. It is the first time in the history of the program that Fullerton has won both offensive and defensive player of the week.

GUERIN CEMENTS LEGACY
Goalkeeper Paul-Andre Guerin recorded back-to-back clean sheets last week in the Titans wins against Cal Poly and Sacramento State, giving him six on the season and 14 for his career, placing him tied fifth all-time in the history of the program.  Guerin needs just three more shutouts to move into a tie for fourth place. Mike Ammann holds the record for most shutouts in a career with 19.
