Top Drawer Soccer Recruiting Rankings
FULLERTON, Calif. – With the season opener less than a week away, the Titans 2018 recruiting class has been ranked No. 25 in the nation according to Top Drawer Soccer. Fullerton moved up nine spots from the previous recruiting rankings released by Top Drawer Soccer where they were ranked No. 34.
Travis Clark of Top Drawer Soccer said the Titans recruiting class is "low on quanity but high on quality". Those quality players include Charly Anguiano who is ranked as the No. 24 recruit in the country along with Zico Bailey who is ranked No. 91. Jose Delgado and Edward Salazar round out the list of freshman players listed on Top Drawer Soccer. Anguiano, Bailey and Delgado all come over from the L.A. Galaxy Academy, bringing a handful of experience even as freshman.
Edward Salazar is the fourth freshman listed by Top Drawer Soccer who joins the team from a highly regarded high school in Cathedral where he helped lead the team to a CIF Southern Section and regional championship. Carlos Escobedo and Israel Gonzalez come to Cal State Fullerton after playing for Cal State Dominguez Hills, one of the Division II teams in the country.
"I think we have a solid recruiting class. This class is more of the brick and mortar than it is the elaborate and the wow factor," Kuntz said. "It's the steady grinders and guys that have accomplished a lot in their young careers that we have coming in."
