McPhie Does it Again

McPhie has already past his season total of goals from the entire 2016 season when he scored his fourth goal of the season and now he continues to add to his career high. The midfielder is tied for second in goals in the Big West (5) and is tied for third in total points (11).

Titan Defense
Other than a few miscues that led to the five goals given up against UC Santa Barbara, the Titans defense has been stingy all season. Fullerton leads the Big West Conference for most shutout games on the season with five.

Fullerton has a host of players who rank in the top-5 in the Big West in major statistical categories. As mentioned, McPhie is tied second in goals with five and is tied third in total points with 11. However, there are several other players making a name for themselves. Senior Diego Sanchez, who scored his first goal of the season on a PK in the Titans 1-0 win over Cal Poly, is tied for fourth in the conference in assists with three.

Forward Bass Sarr has been a big part of the Titans offense that has put pressure on the opposing goalkeeper has he is tied for fourth in the Big West with 21 shots this season. Goalkeepers Paul-Andre Guerin and Alfredo Cortez sit atop the conference in goals against, giving up just nine and seven, respectively.

Guerin's Goal
Sophomore goalkeeper Guerin started in the season in net for the Titans and was replaced by Alfredo Cortez for five games before returning to the starting lineup Saturday against Cal Poly. In his first match back in net Guerin recorded a shutout while making four saves on the night, two of which were incredible diving saves that maintained the Titans 1-0 lead.
