The Catamounts will be without their top two leading scorers from last season, Brian Wright and Bernard Yeboah. Wright was drafted No. 20 overall in the 2017 MLS Superdraft by the New England Revolution after leading the team with 40 points 14 goals and 12 assists along with scoring the double-overtime goal that defeated the Titans. Yeboah was second on the team with 26 points on 11 goals and four assists. The two tallied 25 of the team's 42 goals in 2016.

Vermont is 3-2 thus far through the season, recording wins over Hartwick, Niagara and Yale while taking defeats to San Diego State and Florida Gulf Coast. The Catamounts are led by junior Geo Alves on the year who has 11 points on five goals and one assist. Alves has goals in four out of the five games including two against Hartwick.

University of San Diego

The Titans and Toreros will matchup for the 28th time Sunday evening at Titan Stadium. Fullerton is 10-13-4 all-time when facing San Diego. The last time the two teams met was in 2016 in San Diego where the Titans earned a 3-1 victory in the last game of the regular season before heading to the Big West Tournament. This years meeting will be in Fullerton where the Titans are 6-5-1 against the Toreros with the last meeting at Titan Stadium being a 3-1 loss in 2015.

San Diego plays Lipscomb Friday night before the match with Fullerton on Sunday, however, they head into the weekend boasting a three-game winning streak, all against Big West opponents. The Toreros outscored UC Santa Barbara, Sacramento State and UC Davis 5-1 over the three games, only giving up a goal to UC Davis. Miguel Berry leads San Diego this season with four points on two goals.

Titans Offense Returns
Fullerton's offense had struggled to get going through the first four games of the season, scoring just three goals. Even with the shortage of goals, the Titans offense has been outshooting their opponents 90-66 over the first five games.

The goal shortage changed Sunday against San Francisco as the Titans netted three goals. Christian Pinzon scored his first collegiate goal in the 57th minute to give Fullerton the 1-0 lead in the second half. Ross McPhie and Samuel Goni scored their second goals of the season later in the second half to secure the Titans third win of the season.

Cortez's Net
Sophomore Alfredo Cortez stepped into goal for the Titans Sunday afternoon against San Francisco and recorded a shutout victory in his first match in net for the Titans. Cortez, with help from his defense, faced two shots in the game and saved both of them with ease. Cortez has waited his turn patiently, sitting behind record-setting goalkeeper David Elias in 2016 and Paul-Andre Guerin for the first five games this season.
