Fullerton will go head-to-head with five teams that made the NCAA Tournament in 2016, four teams that finished in the Top 50 RPI and eight teams that finished last season with winning records.

"The standard of the Titan men's soccer program is to play the best in the country. We feel that our 2017 schedule has taken the competition to a new level," Kuntz said. "We have added many out of conference games that present different opportunities to prove ourselves against several other conferences regionally and out of region and we are very excited about that. We look forward to seeing our fan base continue to grow and get noisy with an exciting brand of soccer."

Cal State Fullerton will host 10 out of 19 regular season games at Titan Stadium.

The Titans prepare for the regular season with two exhibition matches, beginning with the University of California, Berkeley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, at Titan Stadium. Fullerton faced off with Cal in an exhibition to start off the 2015 campaign. That contest ended in a 1-1 tie.

Following its match against Cal, the Titans will host the Fullerton Alumni Game at Titan Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 11:00 a.m.

"There are so many exciting things happening at CSF and we would want all alumni invovled with the excitement of new projects," Kuntz said.

The season officially kicks off on Aug. 25 when Fullerton heads to South Carolina to take on Clemson. The Tigers are coming off a successful season in which they finished the year ranked No. 5 in the nation and made it to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. They also finished with the No. 1 overall RPI ranking in the country.

This will be the fifth season in a row that Fullerton begins the season on the road.

The Titans then finish up the two-game road trip with another match in Clemson, South Carolina but against Wofford College on Aug. 27.

Fullerton then returns home for a quick one game homestand at Titan Stadium against Santa Clara on Friday, Sept. 1. Fullerton has won two of the last three meetings with the Broncos.

Following its matchup with Santa Clara the Titans head back on the road where they will battle the University of Portland on Sept. 4 at 7:00 p.m.

The Pilots are coming off a 12-5-2 season and an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Utah Valley then comes to town as Fullerton plays host at Titan Stadium on Friday, Sept. 8, at 7:30 P.M. The Wolverines finished the season ranked No. 43 in RPI with a 15-4-1 record. The Titans last played Utah Valley in 2015 where they lost 2-1 in Utah.

Fullerton once again heads back on the road for a one game trip against San Francisco. The Titans were able to edge out the Dons in a 1-0 victory in 2016.

After their road trip to San Francisco, the Titans return home to Fullerton where they will wrap-up the non conference schedule with a three-game homestand against Vermont (Sept. 15), San Diego (Sept. 17) and UNLV (Sept. 22).

Both Vermont and UNLV are coming off successful seasons in which they made the NCAA Tournament.

The Titans played on the road against both teams last year and were able to claim a 3-1 victory over UNLV but took a 3-2 defeat in double overtime to Vermont.

San Diego finished 2016 with a 6-9-3 record and suffered a 3-1 loss to the Titans on Nov. 2.

Fullerton then begins its Big West Conference schedule with a two-game road swing to UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 28) and Cal Poly (Sept.30).

"The Big West historically is one of the most competitive conferences in the country with different styles of play, great environments, great soccer players and excellent coaches," Kuntz said.

The Titans put an end to the Gauchos season in the Big West Conference Tournament Semifinals.

After starting their conference schedule on the road the Titans return to Fullerton for another three games at Titan Stadium against UC Davis (Oct. 5) and Sacramento State (Oct. 7) before hosting defending Big West Champions CSUN on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Following the three-game homestand Fullerton hits the road to play UC Riverside (Oct. 14) and UC Irvine (Oct. 18). The Titans won both games against Riverside while tying one match and claiming victory in the other against UCI.

Fullerton finishes up two of the last three games of the season hosting UC Riverside on Oct. 21 and going to CSUN for the last road game of the year Oct. 25.

The final game of the regular season will be at Titan Stadium against UC Irvine on Oct. 28.

The Big West Tournament will be Nov. 8 through Nov. 11.

Cal State Fullerton finished the 2016 season with 10-9-4 record while making its third straight Big West Tournament appearance. After winning back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015, the Titans fell in conference championship game to CSUN in 2016.

Eight Titans earned Big West honors in 2016. Alex Heilmann and Ricardo Covarrubias were named to the All-Big West First Team, becoming the first two players to make the conference first team since 2012.

Ross McPhie earned All-Big West Second Team honors while Rei Dorwart was named to the All-Big West Freshman Team. Ruben Alvarez, Ronaldo Pineda, Robert Coronado and David Elias were all received All-Big West Honorable Mention nods.
