FULLERTON, Calif. – After securing second place in the South Division last Saturday night, the Cal State Fullerton men's soccer squad will host the first round of the Big West Men's Soccer Tournament at Titan Stadium against UC Davis on Sat., Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. PT.
This will be the second consecutive year the Titans host a match in the Big West Men's Soccer Tournament as they hosted a semifinal match against Cal Poly last season, where they won 3-1.
Fullerton met with UC Davis earlier this season in Davis, California, and the Aggies got the best of the Titans with a 3-0 victory at home. The Titans have improved mightily since the meeting with UC Davis by finishing conference play unbeaten in their final six matches to rise to second place in the South Division.
In the last two seasons, Fullerton has proved to flip a switch when tournament time comes around as the Titans are currently the defending champions of the Big West Men's Soccer Tournament after winning the postseason title in 2014 and 2015.
Tickets to Saturday's match at Titan Stadium go on sale at noon today (Oct. 31) and can be purchased here. All CSUF students and participating Big West students will receive free admission with valid student ID.
Meanwhile, group ticket orders (20 or more) are on sale for $6 and must be placed by 4 p.m. PT. Adult tickets will be $12, while seniors (65 or older) & youth (eighth grade or younger) will be charged $8 for admission.
If Fullerton were to advance to the championship match on Nov. 12th, the Titans could play host to that match if they are the highest remaining seed or if they have the better record against the opposing division (if both teams in the title match are the same seed).
