CAL STATE FULLERTON SOPHOMORE (2014): Appeared in two games for the Titans in 2014…Played a part in the comeback win against 14th-ranked UMBC that gave head coach George Kuntz his first win at Fullerton.
FRESHMAN (2013): Appeared in 13 matches, starting one of them for the Titans during the 2013 season... recorded one goal, two assists, and four points in his rookie year... also recorded two shots on goal... scored the game-winning goal versus Grand Canyon on Sept. 28 and against UC Riverside in the regular-season finale he added two assists.
HIGH SCHOOL Was a two-year letterwinner in soccer at Mary Star (freshman year) and South (junior year) High School...made all-league both his freshman and junior year in two different leagues (Marine and Pioneer).
CLUB Member of West Coast U-11 and U-15 teams, FC Barcelona U-9 and U-11 teams, Academy Chivas USA (2010-11), and the Pateadores Academy (2012-13).
PERSONAL Born on Oct. 11, 1995, in Bellflower, Calif.... parents are Miguel and Maria Ortiz... has two brothers (Justin and Michael) and one sister, Jessica...psychology major who eventually wants to become a cognitive psychologist...one of his most memorable sports moments was scoring the winning goal at the 2008 Surf Cup championship game...in his free time he enjoys playing the banjo and enjoys playing ping pong.
