Long Beach, Calif. - Colorado State Friday won the 14th Annual Del Walker Invitational men's golf tournament at the Virginia Country Club for the third year in a row by nine strokes over runnerup Long Beach State.

The Rams compiled a score of 1030, 20 under par, while the 49ers had 1039 strokes. Long Beach's Michael Drake won individual honors with a 199, 11 under par, for a 2-stroke win over Riley Art of Colorado State and Scott Travers of Santa Clara.

Cal State Fullerton, which was in 13th place after the first round, faded to 16th after two rounds and remained there after the third and final round with a score of 1111, 61 over par.

John San Juan, who was in third place after the first round with a 65 and stayed in the hunt with a 69 on the second round, carded a 79 on the final round to drop to a tie for 34th place. Teammate Nick Ellis shot 75-69-66 to pace the Titans, who compete Sunday through Tuesday at the Bill Colum Invitational hosted by Cal State Northridge.
