Tegan Andrews Takes First at U.S. Open Local Qualifiers

PALMER, Alaska - Junior Tegan Andrews advanced to the final stage qualifying round for the U.S. Open at the Los Angeles Country Club after finishing first place on Tuesday at Palmer Golf Course.

Andrews was the lone golfer to move on from the U.S. Open local qualifying round after shooting an even-par 72 in 18 holes.

The final qualifying round will be 36 holes and will take place in England, Japan, Canada and 10 U.S. States. Andrews was one of the 1,282 entries from California (10,127 total).

He will compete on June 5 for a chance to appear at the 123rd LACC U.S. Open in Los Angeles on June 15-18.
