FULLERTON, Calif. - Jason Drotter earns Co-Coach of the Year recognition after a successful 2022-23 season, alongside two All-Big West First Team and Honorable Mention accolades, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Harry Doig and Garrett Boe were named to the All-Conference First Team.
Doig set a new career-best performance at the Nick Watney Invitational in September, where he tied for first place after shooting a 14-under par 199 (67-67-65). Doig ended the 2022-23 season with a seventh-place finish at the Big West Championship. There, Doig shot a 2-under par 214 (67-74-73).
Boe, named Golfer of the Month in February, joined Doig on the First Team. Boe started the month with a 3rd place finish at the Orange County Collegiate Classic after shooting a 5-under par 211. His best performance completed the month at The Joust at Goose Creek with a score of 5-under par 208 for a second-place finish.
Russell Howlett and Matthew Schafer earned Honorable Mentions from the Big West.
Howlett impressed at the Big West Championship, becoming one of the 2023 Tri-Champions with a score of 5-under par 211 (73-70-68). Howlett set career-best stats with his 68-stroke final round and tournament finish.
Schafer golfed into a career-best finish at the OC Collegiate Classic after shooting an even-par 216 (69-72-75).
Doig, Boe, and Schafer appeared in all three 11 tournaments for the Titans, contributing to their two first-place finishes this season.
