DAVIS, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton men's golf finished their tournament season in third place after three days at the El Macero Classic on Sunday.
Garrett Boe led the Titans, finishing tied for fourth place with San Francisco's Matthew Anderson. Boe golfed an 8-under par 208 (72-69-67) after becoming more efficient each round.
Harry Doig, Matthew Schafer, and Trevor McNary were among half of the players to tie for 23rd place after shooting an even-par 216.
Doig sandwiched his rounds, shooting a 71 in the first and third rounds with a 74 in the second round on Saturday.
Schafer shot his best round on day two, finishing in 68 strokes. His first round took 76, and he completed the final round in 72 strokes.
After completing the first 18 holes in 68 strokes, McNary found his best work on Friday. Round two took 73 strokes and capped off his last 18 holes in 75.
Russell Howlett completed the Titans team in the El Macero Classic, shooting a 7-over par 223 (74-74-75). Howlett tied for 58th place and played a consistent three rounds of golf.
The Titans will take a two-week break before they travel to the La Quinta Country Club for the Big West Championship tournament on April 30.
