PHOENIX, Ariz. - Cal State Fullerton men's golf finished in fifth place after shooting 5-under par 847 at the GCU Invitational on Tuesday.
Garrett Boe tied for fifth place, leading the Titans with an 8-under par 205. Boe shot a 72 in the first round before setting a new school record for single-round scoring when he shot 63. Boe finished the final round shooting 70.
Matthew Schafer completed the GCU Invitational tied for 11th place after shooting a 2-under par 211 (71-69-71).
Harry Doig tied for 28th place with a 2-over par 215. Doig shot 71 in the first two rounds and 73 in the third.
Harry Fearn and Russell Howlett made up the rest of the team for the Titans. Fearn tied for 61st after shooting 10-over par 223 (73-72-78). Howlett completed the Invitational tied for 72nd place with a 12-over par 225 (82-72-72).
Trevor McNary competed as an individual in the Invitational and was one of the other six golfers sharing 28th place, matching Doig's 2-over par 215. McNary shot 72 in the first and second rounds before shooting a 71 in the last 18 holes.
