COTO DE CAZA, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton men's golf finished the Orange County Collegiate Classic in first place after shooting a 14-under par 850 on Tuesday.
The Titans walked away with their first team victory since the Orange County Collegiate Classic in Coto De Caza, California on Tues. Feb. 8, 2022.
Harry Doig took second place among all golfers after shooting a 6-under par 210. Doig shot a 70 in the first round, followed by an impressive 65 in round two and a 75 in the third and final round.
Garrett Boe finished right below Doig in third place with a 5-under par 211. Boe ended the tournament with his best round (68) after shooting a 69 in the first round and a 74 in the second round on Monday.
Matthew Schafer finished the first two rounds in third place after shooting an even-par 141. He ended the classic in fifth place with a score of even-par 216. Schafer shot a 69 and 72 in the first two rounds and wrapped up the final round with a 5.
Trevor McNary golfed himself into eighth place after shooting 4-over par 220. McNary climbed 20 spots over the course of three rounds, shooting 78, 75 and 67.
Fullerton's "B" team took seventh place in the OC Collegiate Classic after shooting a 45-over par 909. The team consisted of Harry Fearn, Russell Howlett, Howard Yoon, Cameron Xiao and Dylan Walsh.
The Titans will return to the course Monday for The Joust in Jurupa Valley, California.
