FULLERTON, Calif. – After achieving his best finish of the season, Cal State Fullerton senior Matt Wilson received Big West Men's Golfer of the Month honors as the league's best performer in April.

Wilson notched a pair of top-20 finishes for the Titans, which competed in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic and El Macero Classic.

Wilson tied for second at the El Macero Classic, tying his career-best finish from 2016. He offset an opening round 75 with back-to-back rounds of 69 and 70 to conclude the tournament at 2-under 214.

Wilson's effort helped the Titans placed second out of 20 teams.

He also tied for 20th place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. Wilson had a low round of 69, and he finished at 3-under 213, helping CSF finish 3rd overall in the 15-team field.
