EL MACERO, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's golf sit in second place, shooting 1-under par 575 in the first two rounds of the El Macero Classic Saturday afternoon.
The Titans shot 10-under 278 in the second round and jumped two spots on the leaderboard. They are currently trailing Texas Tech (3-under par 573) heading into Sunday's final round.
The Titans dominated the field in round two, shooting seven strokes better than third place Oregon State (even par 576).
Derek Castillo, Matt Wilson, and Dalton Daniel all sit tied for 9th place heading into the final round. They are shooting even par 144 for the tournament.
Castillo shot another 72 today. Wilson posted a 69, and Daniel posted the Titan's best individual score on the day with a 68.
Right behind the trio, Jack Dyer is tied for 19th place at shot a 1-over par 145. Dyer shot a 3-under par 69 in the second round.
Michael Sharkey rounds out the Titans at the El Macero Classic with a 7-over par 151 for the tournament, leaving him tied for 43rd place.
