EL MACERO, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's golf sit in a tie for third shooting 9-over par 297 on day one of the El Macero Classic Friday afternoon.
The Titans currently sit in a tie with San Francisco while trailing UC Davis (2-over par 290) and Oregon State (3-over par 291).
Derek Castillo leads the team in a tie for sixth place with a score of even-par 72. He is just two strokes behind the individual leader, Kyosuke Hara (Oregon State), who shot two-under par 70.
Right behind Castillo, Michael Sharkey shot a 2-over par 74 putting him in a tie for 18th on the leaderboards.
Matt Wilson rounds out the Titans in the top 25 at the El Macero Classic with a 3-over par 75 on the day. He sits in a tie for 25th.
Jack Dyer and Dalton Daniel close out the Fullerton group each shooting 4-over 76 par for the day, a mark that has them tied for 36th on the individual leaderboards.
