Web.com Tour Q-School Final Stage Results

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. --- The 2014 Big West Conference Men's Golfer of the Year and Cal State Fullerton great Mark Anguiano completed the final round of the PGA Web.com Tour Q-School and earned a guaranteed spot on the tour for the 2017 season on Sunday.

Anguiano finished tied for 35th overall after carding a 4-under 282 in the four-round event, capping off his outing with a 4-under 67 including five birdies.

With his finish, Anguiano is guaranteed entry into the first eight events of the 2017 Web.com Tour regular season.

Anguiano turned professional after graduating from Cal State Fullerton in 2014. He put together one of the best seasons in Fullerton history during his senior campaign that year, earning the 2014 Big West Conference Golfer of the Year Award and finishing second overall at the Big West Championships.

Anguiano earned three Big West Conference Golfer of the Month Awards (March 2014, February 2014, September 2013) during the 2013-14 season and was also named to the Division I PING All-West Team after recording two wins and nine top-5 finishes during the year to help lead the Titans to a Big West Conference Championship and appearance in the NCAA Sugar Grove Regionals held in Sugar Grove, Ill.

The Whittier, Calif. native finished his Fullerton career on top of the record books for most career rounds (129), single-season top-10 finishes (9), most recent low first round score (65), low second round tally (66) and overall lowest final score (201). Anguiano also tops the record book in career top-10 finishes (20) and set the lowest stroke average in a season during the 2013-14 campaign (70.31).

In his professional career, Anguiano has played 28 career tournaments (23 in Lationamerica Tour, 4 Web.com Tour, 1 PGA Tour).

Anguiano also qualified for the 116th U.S. Open held at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. He tied for second in sectional qualifying on June 6 after posting a 9-under 134. He would go on to post an 11-over 151 (77-74) in Oakmont, missing the cut.

Q-School Notes

The Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament was a four-day, 72-hole competition with a total of 155 players beginning play on Thursday (Dec. 8) morning.

There were nearly 1,000 entries for the tournament, which included previous Pre-Qualifying, First and Second stages that began in August.

Players in this event competed for positions on the 2017 Web.com Tour priority ranking, which will be used to form tournament fields. Medalist Jim Renner will be guaranteed fully-exempt status next year. Players Nos. 2-10 (and ties) will be subject to the third reshuffle next year and Nos. 11-45 (and ties) will be subject to the second reshuffle.
