LAHAINA, Hawaii – Cal State Fullerton improved on its opening round score on Saturday but slid in the standings at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of Hawaii.

The Titans carded a 8-over 292 on Saturday in round two, 11 strokes better than their first round score but dropped two spots to 22nd overall after 36 holes. Georgia currently leads the 24-team field with a 18-under 550, 10 strokes better than LSU in second place and 11 better than third-place Oklahoma. Clemson, South Carolina and Kansas are tied for fourth with a 6-under 562.

Ty Stites and Mark Cobey paced the Titans on Saturday as each shot a 1-over 72 in the second round. Stites is now at 3-over for the tournament and is tied for 51st overall in the individual standings and Cobey is at 6-over, tied for 69th overall.

Matt Wilson shot a 4-over 75 in round two and Michael Sharkey shot a 2-over 73, putting both golfers at 9-over for the tournament, tied for 94th.

Matt Murphy posted the fifth Titans team score as he shot a 5-over 76 on Saturday, eight strokes better than his first round performance. Competing as an individual, Jack Ireland recorded the best score of all the Titans golfers, carding a 3-under 68 in round two. He is now at 4-over for the tournament and is tied for 55th overall.

Fullerton wraps up the tournament and the fall season Sunday with the final round scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. PT/8:30 a.m. HT.
