FULLERTON, Calif. — Cal State Fullerton men's basketball will play Cornell on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2:30 p.m. ET in the team's first matchup of the 2023 Jacksonville Classic, tournament directors announced Friday. On Monday, Nov. 20, the Titans will then face the winner or loser of the Utah Valley-Southern Miss contest depending on the outcome of each game.
Fullerton, along with the three aforementioned teams, makeup the Bay Bracket of the 2023 Jacksonville Classic. The Coast Bracket will feature UCF, Charlotte, South Dakota State and George Mason. The third place game for the Bay Bracket will take place Nov. 20 at 11:30 a.m. ET, while the championship game is slated for the same day at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Cornell finished the 2022-23 campaign with a 17-11 record, going 7-7 in Ivy League play. The Big Red, led by head coach Brian Earl, fell to Yale in the 2023 Ivy League semifinals. The matchup will be the first ever meeting between the Titans and Cornell.
The 2023 Jacksonville Classic will take place at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, Nov. 19-20. Tickets are on sale now and can be found at www.jacksonvilleclassic.com.
