FULLERTON, Calif. — Cal State Fullerton men's basketball Associate Head Coach Anthony Santos has been named to the Silver Waves Media 2023 75 Rising Stars: Impactful Men's Mid Major Assistants list. 

Santos helped lead the Titans to its second consecutive Big West Tournament championship game appearance in 2022-23, following a six game winning streak to end the regular season and tournament victories over Hawai'i and UC Irvine. The title game appearance was Fullerton's fourth in the last five Big West Tournaments.  

Under Santos' guidance, Latrell Wrightsell Jr. earned First Team All-Big West accolades, Max Jones received Honorable Mention honors and Tory San Antonio was named The Big West Defensive Player of the Year in 2022-23. 

Santos has played a key role in the program's success since joining the staff during the 2011-12 season. He was promoted to assistant in August of 2017 and Associate Head Coach prior to the 2022-23 campaign. Santos has helped lead the Titans to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in 2017-18 and 2021-22. 

Fullerton wrapped the 2022-23 campaign with a 20-13 overall record and 12-6 mark in Big West action.
